New fireworks patterns appear on the Sydney Harbour Bridge early on in the display.
Sydney’s legendary New Year’s Eve Fireworks this year more than lived up to the global reputation for a spectacular showing. Sydney was abuzz in party atmosphere all day with people out in the streets, at cafes, and taking their picnics to the vantage points in the parks bordering the harbour foreshores.
I went with friends for dinner before returning to friends’ apartment for dress circle views of the whole display. The photos give just a hint of the magnificent pyrotechnics lighting the whole harbour for nearly 30 minutes.
