40 YEARS AGO
ON 17TH MARCH 1975
I flew out of Sydney on a Qantas Boeing 707 V-Jet (without as much as a single tear) to take up a posting in New York City that ended up giving me the opportunities to work in US, Asia and Europe for the following twenty years. How exciting it was in those early days of Aussies travelling abroad to work – a young man of 32 with the world as his oyster.
