Le mode de vie au château

fter a week at the chateau, family and friends and peeling off one by one to return home. Juanita is the first.

It’s been a week of exploration, conversation and great fun. I’m surprised that we gathered around the large table in the kitchen for dinner every night, never in the dining room, and we didn’t venture out even once.

Michael, the movie was heart-warming, although many of those line dancers looked suspiciously well practised! and I am always suspicious of anyone who knows all the lyrics to 'achy, breaky heart'! You all looked so relaxed, some of that delicious looking red could account for the mood, but nothing could match the clear enjoyment on all of the faces. What a marvellous trip, thank you for sharing it with us armchair traveller, I am looking forward to a personal account from you and Juanita on your return. Cathy

Hi Mick, I am finally in my hotel room feeling refreshed enough to take the time to go through the blog in full and it is FANTASTIC.. Oh my god, did we really do all that, and it's continued in a different way for me in London.... Even the transport I am fascinated by especially the trains.. And the movie was great.. Really brought the Chateau experience together... You have done so much work Mick I can't believe it... and even with this it is only capturing parts of our experience.. On looking through it I would make the following observations... ▶ sequence: I felt like I was going backwards.. As last days of the experience were first on the blog.. Is that how they all work..as think Rosemary's is probably the same. ▶ I love the closed tabs that can be clicked to open... if you want. This seems to be a better way of setting up all the commentary.. ▶ I am coming round the the way of thinking that the very best part of blog is the one with the pics and a short sentence ( and not the full narrative which could be hidden ) In my case if I am trying to write, it's really about me, my experiences and my record and probably not that interesting to others. The pics with narrative and the hidden links appear to work very well. And could accommodate both.. I have sent a few small edit things that will hopefully help...and am still digesting that we did it all.. Fabulous trip Michael, and thank you so much for all your efforts... For the first time I am starting to think that it might be great to come to Europe for some months..
