I started to write a story about why we went on this trip, and then to share some of the marvellous experiences.
Little prepared was I for stories . . .
of battles . . .
of Portuguese Kings . . .
of the Discoveries . . .
of so many UNESCO World Heritage sites . . .
of apparitions of the Blessed Virgin in Fatima . . .
let alone for visiting these fascinating places of historic interest.

Michael, I happened to look at your page today – and saw Portugal 2009 on the front page! It brings back wonderful memories seeing your photos reading your “experiences” again – it seems like only yesterday – not way back in 2009 – that you and Edmundo were in Portugal. Best, Greg
Greg, Thank you. I posted that story after talking with people here about how under-rated Portugal is as a destination. Not only the history, but those wonderful plates of good things to eat that appear on the table before every meal. Be well. Michael
