Yesterday, I attended the wedding of my cousin Jennifer’s daughter, Shona (my second cousin), to Dominic, a young Aussie of Lebanese descent. I love the sense of family in these Middle East cultures, and it was certainly on display at the wedding and at the Reception afterwards. The Celebrant, Fr John Kady, brought Shona and Dominic together with symbolic rituals of the Maronite Church at St Mary Magdalene’s Catholic Church in Rose Bay.
In making this video, I give to Shona and Dominic greetings from the ‘Musgraves’ side of the family, and wish the couple all the very best in the starting of their own family combining two different backgrounds.

Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion, it is not the desire to mate every second minute of the day, it is not lying awake at night imagining that he is kissing every cranny of your body. No, don’t blush, I am telling you some truths. That is just being “in love”, which any fool can do.
Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.”
