If this story is true El Duque de Cobos should be writing his memoirs! WOW! You two certainly leave no stone unturned - so to speak. Magnificent piece of jewellery to grace the neck of the Baroness. Is this one the 'real deal' or another one like the beautiful blue piece? Where were the Turners while you were getting up to these shenanigans? Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. L J

The Baroness did in deed received the special communication from El Duque - however she has been somewhat delicate following a birthday celebration involving MOET (I am sure you will agree that if it was not Cristal, at least an appropriate brand to mark the occasion). Also, she wanted to do some research about the rail line used to transport the amber, as she thinks one of her long lost family members in Argentina was responsible for building it. As you know many left Europe with squillions in art collections to hide out in that most elegant of countries. She is currently in repose (appropriately at midday) with a headache and hot water bottle, but is still able to contemplate whom she might sleep with to make sure she keeps up her "end" in society - so to speak. Also she has flashes of Feodora being a hat, and cannot get out her mind her own Akubra which is, as we all know, made of that most Australian of skins - no not fox fur - but rabbit. Rambling and raving, she knows, but only matched by his Excellency El Duque... She does however have a love of Amber and is thrilled to be adding to the jewellery collection.. Fondest Love to all Baroness.. PS whose maternal grandfather did work on rail lines in Argentina, before he escaped the Peron regime to arrive - guess where - Launceston Tasmania..
