On the morning I was flying out to Santiago before Christmas, Oprah was taping two shows on the steps of the Sydney Opera House for release in the US mid-January 2011. Pam and Ken had tickets and reported how well it was done.
Hugh Jackman did a ‘Wolverine’ and flew on to the stage from the top of the Opera House on a flying fox . . . and in his excitement, he forgot the brake . . . and hit the lighting rigging! Ouch!
Other Aussie stars ‘came home’ as well to join the party.
Of a more pressing nature, I arrived home to find my hometown of Brisbane experiencing floods of biblical proportions. My brother Mark and his wife Jenny had to be evacuated from their riverside home by boat. The rest of my family are on ‘high ground’.
Hi Michael,
It was a lot of fun spending time with you and Edmondo over the past couple of weeks. I’m now looking forward to setting aside some time to read through your blogs. I have a feeling there will be a lot of interesting information there, not to mention many laughs.
Take care,
Warren
